Electronics technician for devices and systems

If you’re passionate about bringing electronics to life, this program is ideal for you. You’ll become skilled in developing and assembling modern technology from the ground up. Whether it’s designing precise circuit boards, assembling complex modules, or producing innovative devices, you’ll be directly involved in creating the technologies of the future.

What makes this role particularly engaging is your hands-on involvement in production. You’ll plan production processes, set up manufacturing and testing machines, and ensure everything runs smoothly. With your precision and attention to detail, you’ll help create high-quality products that are used around the world. Quality is a priority, and you’ll play a key role in making sure every product meets our high standards.

You’ll also be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring everything operates efficiently and stepping in to solve technical issues when they arise. Your expertise will be critical in replacing defective parts and getting devices back up and running.

IT specialist for system integration

In this program, you’ll become an expert in IT systems and networks. You’ll plan, install, and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems run smoothly. Along the way, you won’t just learn the basics of IT—you’ll also master the art of tackling complex challenges in an industrial environment.

One of the highlights of your training will be preparing for and executing our trade show presentations. SETEX exhibits at international fairs every year, where we don’t just showcase our innovative systems but also simulate complete production environments for a textile manufacturing setup, including production machines and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). Before these complex systems are displayed globally, you’ll be part of the team that assembles them at our facility, tests everything, and provides training for our sales team.

This apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of IT system integration while playing a crucial role in our international presentations, equipping you with the skills and experience needed for a successful career in the IT field.

Thesis Projects – Practice-Oriented Research and Development

SETEX has long been the go-to destination for students who want to complete their thesis in a hands-on environment with real-world projects. Our strong partnership with the Technik-Akademie Weilburg has led to numerous successful thesis projects that not only excel on paper but have been developed into actual, working products.

Examples of these projects include the development of a mobile camera for thread counting, which is now in serial production, and the automation of a climate chamber, which has become an integral part of our production quality assurance. These and other projects demonstrate how student work can lead to solutions that are directly applied in practice.

University Degree Program - Theory and Practice Seamlessly Integrated

In partnership with TU Mittelhessen and TH Darmstadt, we offer a cooperative education program (co-op) that seamlessly combines academic studies with practical work experience. This program allows you to apply what you learn in university lecture halls directly to real-world projects, all while benefiting from the guidance and expertise of industry professionals.
